SAINSBURY’S UK SCHOOLS GAMES
The Sainsbury's UK School Games is currently positioned as a high-level competition opportunity for athletes following participation in their respective National Schools
 Athletics Association Track and Field Championships. This progression means that the Sainsbury's UK School Games is a key element of the competition pathway for
school based athletes in the UK. The National Schools Athletics Association Track and Field Championships remain the primary method of selection for athletes
 competing in the Sainsbury's UK School Games. However, due to the nature of the sport, athlete selection can be made based on performance in other major events,
and the Power of 10 rankings system. This approach allows the best athletes to enjoy the Sainsbury's UK School Games experience, whilst giving any young athlete at
school the opportunity to qualify

THE ENGLISH SCHOOLS’ ATHLETICS ASSOCIATION
Established in 1925, the English Schools' Athletic
Association is dedicated  to promoting the enjoyment of
athletics in schools, thus enhancing the  moral and physical
welfare of children, by providing the right
environment so that hidden talent can be discovered and
visible talent  can be encouraged. It achieves this aim by
organising some of the  premier events in the Country, and
by running an award scheme for pupils of all ages.

ENGLAND ATHLETICS
Athletics in schools
England Athletics is working with two key partner organisations to
pull together a single competition  framework for athletics in schools
that can also be used in our community clubs. The programmes have
 seen over 60000 young people involved in short format athletic
competition in 2009 alone. In 2010 there are plans for nearly 200
events nationwide in both formats involving schools in England.
 


ULSTER SECONDARY SCHOOL’S ATHLETICS ASSOCIATION
Membership of the Association, by affiliation at the District AGM, shall be open to all Secondary Schools in Ulster. A condition of membership of the Association is that each member school must undertake to play a full part in helping with the organisation of all of the activities of the association, and must take its turn in having responsibility for the organisation of those activities.
